Who We Are

Jill Hudson
Executive Director
Rev. Jill Hudson is a 2005 graduate of Baylor's Truett Seminary and also holds a Master of Science in Education and Educational Psychology from Baylor University. She is married to Brandon and is the mother to two children. Their family of four plus two dogs resides in Lubbock, Texas. Jill began as Coordinator, and now Executive Director, on April 3, 2023.
She was ordained by Crosscreek Baptist Church in Alabama and has served churches since 1998 across four states (TX, MT, NC, and AL) in paid and volunteer capacities as minster to children, youth, college students, graduate students, families, and music as well as serving as consultant, counselor and preacher.
Jill writes, "I am thrilled to join with TXBWIM as we work together to affirm, advocate for and celebrate Baptist women in ministry across the state of Texas. As a native of this state and a Baptist from birth, I am inspired by the work that TXBWIM is already doing and am looking forward to connecting with the women and men of TXBWIM as we move into the future together."

Patrick Adair
Board Member
Patrick is the pastor of The Crossing Baptist Church in Mesquite, Texas, a multi-ethnic congregation with a huge heart for sharing Christ and the love of Christ through ministry to those in need. He is a graduate of East Texas Baptist University and Truett Seminary at Baylor. He is married to Jeni Adair, who works as a school counselor and LPC-A. They have two daughters, who fill their home with music, laughter, and shenanigans.


Kan'Dace Brock
Board Member
Dr. Kan’Dace Len Brock, or “Dr. K” as she is affectionately called, is a wife to Dr. Fredricc Gerard Brock, mother to Zoë and Chloë, pastor, licensed master social worker (LMSW), scholar, author, and CEO. A native of San Antonio, Dr. K serves as Lead Pastor and Co-Founder of The Message Church and Co-Founder of FGB Ministries, LLC, a preaching, teaching, and consulting ministry. In addition to serving The Message Church, Dr. K serves as the Associate Vice President of Student & Community Engagement for Jesse C. Fletcher Seminary.
Ka'thy Gore Chappell
Board Member
Rev. Dr. Ka’thy Gore Chappell is the former Executive Director of BWIM of North Carolina. Ka'thy has years of experience in various fields, including congregational ministry, academic institutions, denominational non-profits, preaching and coaching. A graduate of Auburn University (B.S.), Southern Seminary (M.R.E.) and Central Seminary (D.Min.), Ka’thy exhibits a passion as a Christian educator. Specifically, her D.Min. work, “Creative Leadership with an Entrepreneurial Spirit,” challenged Ka’thy to own her storytelling style as well as expand her mindset that focuses on the creative use of participation, inclusion and imagination. Affirmed professionally for leadership and mentoring, Ka’thy is a winner of the Anne Thomas Neil Award for Leadership (BWIM NC) and the Frankie Huff Granger Mentor Award (BWIM National). Ka’thy was married to Russell Chappell who passed away from an extended illness in 2018. She was recently made a grandmother by her daughter and son-in-law who live, work, and minister in Waco, Texas.


Nartarsha Davis
Board Member
Nartarsha Michele Davis, is a wife of twenty-three years to Rev. John Paul Davis, mother of four children, as well as “Glammy” to seven grandchildren. She is passionate about empowering and encouraging people to know who they are and help them walk in who God has created them to be. Nartarsha loves sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and walking alongside people through Pastoral Counseling.
She is a licensed minister, under her pastor, Dr. Ralph D. West, Sr., The Church Without Walls, in Houston where she and her family have been members for 22 years. Since 2017, Nartarsha, has led the 7am Thursday weekly, TXBWM Devotional and Prayer Call alongside of her mentors, Rev. Jewel M. London, and Rev. Debra F. Bell.
During the global pandemic in 2020, Nartarsha pivoted from being a full time Cosmetologist to earning a bachelor’s degree in religion with a focus on Christian Counseling. Continuing her education, she earned a master’s degree in 2022 in Pastoral Counseling: Discipleship and Church Ministry and is currently studying in the Doctor of Education Program, for Community Care with Pastoral Counseling. Nartarsha also holds certificates in ministry, preaching, trauma, and marriage and family from both Truett Seminary and Rawlings School of Divinity.
Nartarsha works in Katy ISD, as a part-time Substitute Teacher, is a member of NAACP, is Co-Captain with her husband for City Wide Club for Annual Big Feasts which serves homeless & underserved communities. Nartarsha is the author of two published books, titled God is Listening- 33 Days of Praying with Scriptures and Journey of a Healthy Legacy.
Jody Harrison
Board Chair Elect
After earning her bachelor’s degree from Southwest Texas State University and 20 years in government and political campaign work, Jody shadowed a chaplain at Brackenridge Hospital and felt a strong call to ministry. She was accepted into and received a Master of Divinity degree from the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest in 2007. She was baptized at Calvary Baptist Church in Roanoke and Calvary ordained her to the Gospel of Ministry on July 15, 2012.
While much of Jody’s ministries include children and youth, her service has predominantly been in hospital chaplaincy in trauma. Jody’s greatest joys in ministry have been pastoral care and her lifelong passion has been as an advocate for social justice work in women’s reproductive rights and recently in public school education – to keep church and school separate. She enjoys attending TX Aggie football games with family, travel, reading, yoga and 1960s & 70s music.
Jody is semi-retired although accepts every opportunity to supply preach. Jody and her husband, Tom, have a blended family that include adult children and three grandchildren. Tom recently retired for the 4th (and hopefully last) time. They live in Austin with their recently adopted rescue and beloved Border Collie mix dog, 2-year-old, “Buddy.”


Judy Jarratt
Board Member
Judy is the Executive Director and Dean of the Lubbock Campus of Wayland Baptist University. Judy most recently served as the Senior Director for the Campus Alliance for Telehealth Resources (CATR) - Supported by TCHATT program of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, in the Department of Psychiatry in Lubbock. From 2004 to 2018, Dr. Jarratt served on the Lubbock campus of Wayland Baptist University as a Professor of Education and Professor of Counseling. Dr. Jarratt holds an Ed. D. in Educational Administration from Texas Tech University, along with a Master of Science in Counseling and a Bachelor of Science degree in education from the University of Houston. Dr. Jarratt is eager to identify opportunities, guide change and strengthen the impact of Wayland Baptist University in the Lubbock and surrounding areas. ​
Kendall Petteway
Board Member
Kendall D. Petteway is a ministry leader, entrepreneur, and communicator currently pursuing his Master of Divinity at George W. Truett Theological Seminary. A graduate of Baylor University with a B.S. in Data Science and a minor in Religion, Kendall is the founder of 2:20 Vision, a Christian sportswear brand dedicated to helping athletes “perform with purpose.” He has served in multiple leadership roles across campus and community settings, including men’s ministry, mentorship, and youth development.

​Kendall is passionate about spiritual formation, community engagement, and creating faith-driven spaces where young adults can grow, lead, and live with purpose. His work blends ministry, innovation, and service, reflecting his commitment to empowering others and advancing the Gospel in both local and collegiate communities.


Minda Purdie
Board Chair Emeritus
Minda serves as the Associate Pastor of Congregational Life at First Baptist Church in Marshall, TX. She received a Master of Arts in Religion with a focus on Theology and Art from Memphis Theological Seminary and aims to bring creativity and wonder into her preaching and ministry. Minda also works in the Great Commission Center at East Texas Baptist University as the Global Education Assistant where she connects students to area non-profits as part of the ETBU Serves program. She and her husband have lived in East Texas since 2016 and have two beautiful children.
George (Tex) Quesada
Board Member
Tex Quesada grew up in Fort Worth, Laredo, and the Valley. He attended Baylor University for both undergraduate (1983) and law school (1986). Tex attends Royal Lane Baptist Church.


Nataly Mora Sorenson
Board Treasurer
Nataly Mora Sorenson is the daughter of immigrants, an Ordained Baptist Minister, and a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of Texas. Nataly lives in Anna, TX with her husband and two children. Nataly recently served as the Executive Director of the Gaston Christian Center in Dallas, TX, a non-profit who seeks to provide space, empower, and connect nonprofits and congregations to resources. Nataly grew up in Frisco, TX. She is an alumni of Dallas Baptist University (B.A. Christian Studies), Baylor University (Masters Social Work) & Truett Seminary (Masters of Divinity). She is the 2021 recipient of the Baptist Women in Ministry Addie Davis Award for Outstanding Leadership in Pastoral Ministry, & contributed to the book Justice Looks Like and has published articles in Baptist News Global & the Baptist Standard. Nataly is passionate about justice, congregational social work, and how congregations and ministers can be advocates for the people and communities they serve.
Alarice Vann
Board Secretary
Alarice identifies herself primarily as a servant of God, driven by a passionate desire to positively impact the lives of others by expressing God's love. She serves as a licensed minister at Westside Baptist Church (WBC) in Lewisville, Texas. With a successful career as an Information Technology Professional, Alarice responded to the divine call into ministry. She is a third-year seminary student at Southern Methodist University’s Baptist House of Studies (BHS) within Perkins School of Theology. As a BHS Baugh Scholar, she recently graduated with honors, earning a Master of Theological Studies, and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity.
Alarice is a dedicated Bible Study teacher, an enthusiastic Women’s Ministry leader, and a Discipleship Training facilitator. She has led many Bible studies and has been a keynote speaker at women's conferences and seminars. Her goal is to inspire and strengthen others to live victoriously through the embodiment of the Holy Spirit.
Alarice Founded TeacHER Outreach Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization that aims to transform lives through biblical truths and God’s love, one soul at a time.
Alarice is married and a mother of adult children. She enjoys most outdoor activities, reading, and spending quality time with family and friends. She resides in Frisco, Texas, with her husband, Deacon Vincent Vann.

Patty Villarreal
Central Texas Team Lead
Patty is an ordained deacon at Woodland Church, San Antonio, TX. A long time church leader, she has been active in the life of the local church, Baptist associations, state, and national leadership. She grew up as a pastor's daughter whose parents were influenced by social justice views as they served in poverty level communities. Patty has been a social worker, LMSW, for 43+ years serving in direct practice, administration, and university adjunct professor. While teaching at the Baptist University of the Americas, she co-founded the Christian Latina Leadership Institute with Dr. Nora Lozano, now in its 20th year. Currently, Patty serves on several non-profit boards & mentors at a local public school. She is a graduate of Howard Payne University, Brownwood, TX and the Carver School of Social Work, Louisville, KY. Patty is thrilled to serve on the TXBWIM board that seeks to encourage all women and knows that their voice matters.


Abby Villagrana
Board Member
Abby is a Texas Native and grew up in Fort Worth's Northside community. The daughter of Mexican immigrants and as a pastor's kid, whose formative years were shaped by her parents' faithfulness and commitment to the church and the Word of God. Abby is now the Missions Minister and a member of the Preaching Team at First Temple, where she was ordained into the gospel ministry in August 2025. She earned a Master of Divinity from Truett Theological Seminary (2024) and a Bachelor's degree from Dallas Baptist University (2016). Abby is passionate about the church being an agent of justice in this world. TXBWIM has been integral to her discernment of a call to ministry, and she is honored to serve on the Board of Directors, supporting its mission to encourage and equip women to faithfully pursue God's calling.

Linda Wilkerson
Board Chair
Linda Wilkerson is an ordained Baptist minister and ACPE Educator. She retired in 2019 from Parkland Health & Hospital System where she served for 19 years as the Director of Pastoral Care and Education. In retirement she has continued ministry with her congregation, Bill Harrod Memorial Baptist Church in west Dallas and occasionally serves as an ACPE Educator on a contract basis with ACPE centers in Texas. Currently she is serving with the U.S. Army as an ACPE educator with Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Prior to her ministry at Parkland she served as Associate Director of Pastoral Care at both Children’s Medical Center of Dallas and Baylor Medical Center. In total she has been in ministry for 31 years. She graduated in 1988 from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and was fully certified as an ACPE Educator in 1996. She was ordained to the Gospel ministry in 1988 by First Southern Baptist Church of Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
She has served as the ACPE Secretary/ Treasurer of the Board of Directors , is the current immediate past Chair of Texas Baptist Women in Ministry on whose board she continues to serve, and has served as a Commissioner on the Dallas Community Development Commission.
She is married to Mark Grace (retired VP of Mission and Ministry for Baylor Scott and White Healthcare), and has two children (biologically Mark’s and hers via her heart), and six grandchildren. She loves poetry, art and oil painting, cooking, reading fiction, and travel.
Demetrea
(Meechie) Williams
Board Member
Rev. Demetrea Williams was born in Chicago, IL and raised in Houston, TX. She received her Bachelor's degree from Texas State University specializing in Bilingual Education. Working in education for over 10 years, she taught in regular and bilingual classrooms as well as taught Spanish, and Bible to middle and high school students. In addition to her education career, she is a licensed and ordained minister of the Gospel. She received her Master of Divinity degree in 2014 from Beeson Divinity School of Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. She is a Board Certified Clinical Chaplain currently working at Houston Methodist Cypress. She’s an empathic minister who is seen as a shepherd, helping people through difficult times and providing grace and comfort when it is needed most. She is known for being relational, encouraging others, and inspiring people of all ages and backgrounds to become closer to God. She has been married to the wonderful Rev. Matthew Williams since 2017 and they are the parents of their beautiful daughter, Karis Williams.


Itzayana Aguirre
Financial Assistant
Itzayana serves as the Digital Fundraising Specialist for Cook Children's Health Foundation. She attends church at Iglesia Bautista Victoria en Cristo in Forth Worth.
